If you aren't using an all in one printer just yet, you are in for a pleasant surprise. The quality of print exceeded my expectations. I thought you could only get that kind of quality from a dedicated printer. But I was wrong. The main advantage of the all in one printer is its multi function capability.
Not too long ago, we were used to printing our documents to a printer through a cable connection. That was the old days. That's history now. Technology has moved on. With the advent of the all in one printer, you get a printer, scanner, photocopier fax or email as well! That takes some beating. Just look at the cost savings to be had compared with buying each appliance on its own. Not just cost, but you can save on precious room space as well. Who wants multi hardware devices scattered around the room when they can all be combined into one?
So when it came to changing my aged, but hard working Canon printer, I shifted toward an all in one printer solution to solve my printing and scanning needs. I know it's always a leap of faith when you change to something different, especially where technology is concerned but, after having read some of the reviews, I was convinced, and I haven't been let down since.
I selected the HP Deskjet 3050 All-in-One Printer. I would label this a low price printer. It does what I want it to do, and I am pleased with the print quality, which for me is very good indeed. We use it a lot to print out the family photos, and it gives us great results. The price has come down since I bought this printer, which is a bit unlucky for me, and it is currently selling for under £40 on Amazon UK.
You can definitely pay a lot more than this and get something better. It depends what you want from your money.
All in one printers are obtainable as inkjet or laser printers though in terms of appeal and cost the inkjet printer is frequently bought. Laser printers are more for use in business surroundings.
The most common usage of all in one printers is for school work or by amateur photographers to print photographs. These devices don't tend to be bulky or heavy and can be easily shifted around. Mine weighs about five Kilograms. You can set them to work wirelessly if you wish, which means you need only plug the printer into the mains socket, there being no other cable connection. Then you need to get your router to notice the printer. There are obvious advantages of the wireless all in one printer, mainly that they can be located at a place of your choosing rather than simply a cable distance away.
Just like most products on the market, there is no shortage of printer types to choose between. For example, Canon all in one printers are a well known and popular make. The PIXMA is a adaptable and high quality photo printer. Like other devices that are wireless it needs to be set-up through some software on your computer, then you can start applying it and appreciate the capabilities of the printer.
There are additionally photocopier and scanner functions offered on the PIXMA. There are two trays for paper so you can load each one with different types of paper then select between the two. It can print photos from a memory stick or directly from memory cards. The Canon all in one printer is a cutting-edge printer which delivers some fantastic photos.
Another excellent example is the Brother all in one printer. The DCP colour model prints, scans and copies documents quickly and easily. As with the Canon, it can print directly from USB, media cards and the camera. It is fairly quiet in use as well.
These are just two examples of the various other makes of all in one printers that are available. If you are buying one for the first time, don’t rush and do your research first, before buying. There are plenty of good all in one printers out there.
